Jamie Rickers Celebrity Headhunt for UNICEF

01 Jul 2011

Nickelodeon TV presenter - and one of Glenn's former trainees - Jamie Rickers, is set to attempt a unique Guinness World Record by interviewing 50 celebrities in 24 hours.

The challenge is raising money for leading children's charity, UNICEF and will start at 8.00am before ending at 8.00am the following day on the sofa of ITV's Daybreak, where the final questions will be posed to hosts Adrian Chiles and Kate Garraway.

The non-stop interview marathon will include playing tennis with legends of the court, spending time in the pool with an Olympic swimmer, being diplomatic with one of the nation's best-known politicians and getting tackled by an international rugby player.

A star-studded World Record Party at London's China White nightclub will include a red carpet champagne reception and live music for the many celebrities in attendance who will also feature in the record attempt.

"This is without doubt the hardest challenge I've ever faced and I can't do it alone", Jamie told us. "I need as much support from the public as possible - not only in sponsoring me for this amazing cause but tipping me off about where I might find celebrities, because without them I won't get the record".

As well as interviews already lined up, Jamie is planning to gatecrash TV and radio shows, doorstep celebrities and act on last-minute tip-offs in the hope of smashing the 50-interview target set by Guinness World Records.

The attempt is scheduled for September and, in the meantime, you can sponsor Jamie at:
